Owego 41, So. Springs 7: The Indians hit the road and came away with a get-well victory after dropping their first three contests against some stiff competition.

Quarterback Dan Brainard connected on six of his eight passes for 202 yards and three touchdowns, and an 80-yarder to Justin Bensley.

Harley Edwards had two receptions for 73 yards and a TD, and intercepted a pair of passes, returning one for a score.

It was a 28-0 spread by halftime of the Division IV ballgame. Owego defenders had four quarterback sacks.

"It was a good win for us after that three-game stretch," Indians coach Steve Virkler said. "And we were able to get a lot of kids playing time."

Ahead for Owego is Homecoming weekend and a game against Whitney Point.
