Parker Evans' four touchdowns and 248 total yards led host Owego to a 49-0 victory of Dryden on Saturday in a Section 4 Football Conference Division IV football game.

Evans, a fullback, had two touchdowns late in the second quarter to help put Owego (3-3) ahead 14-0 at halftime. His 26-yard run opened the scoring with 3:22 remaining in the half. He scored again on a 54-yard reception out of the flat 1 1/2 minutes later after a three-and-out by Dryden (2-4).

"He's a phenomenal safety, probably better defensively than he is offensively," Owego coach Steve Virkler said.

Evans started the scoring in a 28-point third quarter on 61-yard run to extend the lead to 20-0.

Owego quarterback Dan Brainard was 8-for-9 for 192 yards and three touchdowns. He also had a rushing touchdown in the third quarter that made it 28-0 after a successful two-point conversion.

An 84-yard scoring connection from Brainard to Evans, again out of the flat, brought the lead above 30.

Virkler credited Harley Edwards and Justin Bensley with key downfield blocking that allowed Evans to break free.

Dryden's Nick White led the team with 59 yards on 12 carries. The Lions had nine first downs, one less than Owego.
